John Hulme (b.1824) aged 21, married Esther Willett aged 18, on July 15th 1845 in the Cathedral Church of Manchester.

Esther's parents were Peter Willett, a Plumber and Glazier in Manchester, and Harriett Collins. The family lived in Philip Street, Hulme at the time of Esther's marriage, but by the time of the 1851 Census, Peter Willett was listed as a widower and was living on China Lane with his unmarried sister, Esther, who was three years his senior.

Peter Willett had been born in late 1805 or early 1806, as there are Christening records for him on February 2nd 1806 in the Cathedral Church of Manchester. He married Harriett Collins September 4th 1825 at St. Mary's Church, Manchester. I couldn't find any records of them having any other children other than Esther, but it's possible they did. I suspect that Harriett died young, but I can't find any death records for her.

I think Peter's parents were William Willett and Sarah Hassall, but some of the dates don't seem right and this needs more research.
